35 years ago, Chris Hadley had the opportunity to join his family’s business, Hadley Insurance Agency, after working with a prominent life insurance company in Boston. The business was started in Fall River by his grandfather and Great Uncle in 1912. Chris helped grow the business to become a leading local insurance agency in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Chris then joined forces with Paul Burke, Insurit Agency, and they formed Hadley-Insurit Group (HIG Insurance). HIG is now part of the BayCoast Insurance family.   “We were looking to partner with an agency that understood the importance of community. BayCoast was the best fit when we made that decision.” Chris has enjoyed working with many of the local businesses and communities to make sure they have the best insurance and price. “Local businesses are the fabric to the community at large. Working with local people makes it fun to come to work and be a part of a community that gives back and makes the world a better place,” says Chris. 

Chris is currently the chair of the board of advisors at the Fall River YMCA.  “The Y has been a place where all members of the community are welcome.  It promotes healthy living, youth development and social responsibility. I am proud to be a part of that team.” While Chris is known for his superb customer service skills, he also has many talents outside of HIG. Outside of the office, you can find Chris playing the guitar and harmonica in his band, Ragged Company. Chris also enjoys skiing, golf and playing squash in the Rhode Island Squash League.
